Chatham Memorial Synagogue - Appeal

As a grade 2* listed building, it is very important to keep up a regular programme of repairs and maintenance to the fabric of the synagogue. In addition to this, more substantial remedial work is required every 5-7 years and major structural work is required every 12-15 years.

Regular donations and annual appeals all help to build up funds for this work but the amounts collected are never enough.

In the past we have been fortunate to supplement the appeals with various Heritage Grants.

It is an awesome responsibility for the Synagogue Trustees to raise sufficient funds to ensure that we are able to maintain the Synagogue in its present condition so that it can be enjoyed by future generations.

Online Donations

It is now possible to make online donations to Chatham Memorial synagogue via Virgin Money Giving. Due to the high costs of running and maintaining this beautiful synagogue, all donations are gratefully received.

By using this method, the synagogue will be able to automatically take advantage of Gift Aid
